Beaver Creek

Chesterville, ME

Beaver Creek in Chesterville Maine is the perfect basecamp for your New England Backcountry flying adventure! If you haven’t heard of Beaver Creek, it is a beautiful off-grid A-frame house with a private 3000’ grass runway and world class amenities.

The airstrip is perfect for a Husky trip around New England and is a short hop to an incredible variety of beautiful fields to visit. If you want to land along the riverbanks of the Kennebec River, Gadabout Gaddis (ME08) is a 20 minute flight and has a great restaurant to stop for lunch. If you want to conquer the White Mountains, Gorham (2G8) has a grass strip 8 mi from the peak of Mt. Washington less than a 30 minute flight away. For the more seasoned backcountry pilots, Banks field (ME5) is a short gravel strip on Swan Island along coastal Maine. No matter what kind of adventure you’re looking for, Beaver Creek provides easy access to endless opportunities for a backcountry trip!

However, the real beauty of Beaver Creek isn’t its prime location. It’s what you can do at the end of a long day of backcountry flying. See, Beaver Creek isn’t your typical backcountry camping ground. Though it is completely off grid and self sufficient, the cabin has incredible amenities including: a wood fired cedar hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, A/C, laundry, Starlink Satellite Wifi, a crew truck to take into town, and a fire pit to hang out with your friends and family while sharing stories from an unforgettable backcountry flying adventure. There is nothing more rewarding than landing in the wilderness of Maine, parking your plane on the grass, and walking 10 feet into your home in the backcountry.
